Nathan Cayirylys started in the security trade in Moree, NSW in 1991 as an apprentice radio fitter mechanic for North West Security, having shown a natural aptitude for working with technology. He moved to Newcastle in 1998 and sub-contracted his services to a number of security companies before moving into the manufacture of high end security products. Through working in security manufacture, Nathan acquired an in depth knowledge of cryptology and secure issuance which played an important role in the design of the Defence DCAC (Defence Common Access Card) system.
Nathan is a natural born problem solver who thrives on the challenge of a complex project. The ever-evolving security technology landscape ensures that Nathan stays across the latest developments and how they can be implemented in industrial, commercial and domestic environments. By combining a results driven approach with a genuine passion for security technologies and strong third-party relationships, Nathan is able to develop customised solutions for his clients that align with their budget and operational needs.
Our technical team brings together a diverse range of qualifications, hands on experience and a shared commitment to quality, safety and problem solving. With backgrounds spanning project management, electrical work, telecommunications and industrial trades, the team offers a well rounded skillset that supports every stage of our security and technology projects.
Collectively, our technicians hold recognised trade qualifications including electrical licensing, White Cards Cert III in Telecommunications & Electronics, welding qualifications, Working at Heights and industrial machinery licenses just to name a few. This combination of formal training and practical, on-the-tools experience ensures we deliver workmanship that is precise, compliant and completed to the highest standard.

Joining EST in 2025, she is the organisational backbone of EST and keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes.
